Meet Christopher

Christopher is one of the founders and managing principals of PlaceMKR and helps navigate the firm’s growth, focusing on capital raising, company finances, and operations. Prior to forming PlaceMKR, he worked in all facets of the real estate world as an owner, broker, property manager, service & maintenance manager, and operating a property services company.

He prides himself on his ability to problem-solve and overcome obstacles to achieve his personal and professional end-goals.

When not helping lead PlaceMKR, Christopher is a dedicated husband to Laura and father to two daughters – Kennedy and Miller. He also enjoys sports, such as golf, tennis, and swimming.

When asked why he’s so passionate about placemaking, Christopher said:
“There are not many opportunities to put your imprint on a place, placemaking helps us understand what the area is asking for and work alongside the neighborhood to find solutions for needs.”

How do you kick-off a productive morning?

Starts with planning the night before, then usually a good pressed coffee and call with the team.

What non-PlaceMKR achievement are you most proud of?

I started as a garbage man, always worked hard and knew my potential to achieve anything and exceeded every goal I’ve ever set.

What is your favorite place?

Early mornings I run the hike and bike trail along the Colorado River, you’ll find wonderful bridges, green parks, running trails, the glass buildings of downtown, folks paddle boarding in the river, all in a short distance, gives a good preview of what Austin has to offer.
